SPECIALIZATION- Steel construction fire protection
Our specialization of a few years’ is a fire and
corrosion protection of steel constructions in building industry.
Carbon steel is a very popular and willingly used construction
material.
In contrast to the reinforced concrete, steel construction is getting hot very
quickly and because of a decrease of the plasticity limit and springiness it is
getting deformed. This process is started at temperature of 450-550° C.
This parameter is called steel critical temperature.
Just after the steel construction reaches this point it is getting deformed and
damaged. This means the damage of the all supported construction and building
collapse.
To keep the stability and durability of the steel
construction until the fire extinguish or building evacuation we need to perform
fireproof protection of it. The goal is to achieve temperature insulation that
in case of the open fire (temperature on the level of 800-1200°C) the steel
construction is steel kept below the critical load-bearing capacity level for
some time.
In accordance to the required period of time (at that period of time the
construction is still stable) we may define different critical temperatures. If
it is not unambiguously defined we usually assume:
- R15, R30 – 550°C
- R60 – 500°C
- R90, R120, R180, R240 – 450°C
We are ready to execute the following
protection systems:
Spray system – VERMIPLASTER (PROTECCIÓN PASIVA 2000, S.L.).
The system is dedicated for fire protection class R30, R60, R90, R120 i R180.
Vermiplaster it is a brand new system on the market of steel
construction fireproof systems. Vermiplaster product is a low granulation,
powdered mixture based on the calcium sulphurous.
Reduction of its weight is being achieved by the addition of self-expanding
minerals. Its physical/chemical features are improved to achieve the optimal
consistence during mixing, applying and hardening. It does not contain any toxic
or dangerous chemicals. It produces a lot of water vapour while heated.
Vermiplaster is applied mechanically, with a use of aggregate
spraying machine which mixes it with water and pressurised air.
Vermiplaster can not be applied beyond critical temperatures (<5°C; >40° C) and
must be protected against sunshine and strong wind while applied.
There is not recommended to use Vermiplaster on the open steel surfaces and in
high humidity or condensate water conditions. It that case we recommend surface
cleaning and surface protection against corrosion with a use of ground coating
paint or waterproof paint.
In case of low level of humidity that is absorbed inside the building the system
does not require any special treatment.
Vermiplaster is produced by PROTECCIÓN PASIVA 2000, S. L. in plant Dos Hermanas
(Sewilla) Spain.
The production process is automated (automatic raw materials dosage system). It
guarantees the stable characteristic of the final product.
The production process is continuously supervised in accordance with quality
systems ISO9002 and ISO14001 (environment protection politics). The rules are
approved by SGS and marked (010309/S.C. and 030070/MA).

Casing system CONLIT 150 (ROCKWOOL
POLSKA Sp. z o.o.).
The system is dedicated for fire protection class R30, R60, R90, R120, R180
and R240.
System COLINT 150 is dedicated for fireproof protections of
the steel constructions inside the building (pillars and bar supports, beams)
with a cross-section mass factor U/a ≤ 300-1.
The system consist plates and shape elements made of mineral wool (nominal
density 165kg/m3) classified in class A1 as a non flammable product with a
parching fibre temperature over 1000°C and special glue Conlit Glue. Additional
assembling elements: pins, screws, nails.
There are three types of CONLIT plates:
- CONLIT 150 P – without upper aluminium layer;
- CONLIT 150 A/F – with aluminium upper layer;
- CONLIT 150 W/SCRIM – with glass fibber upper layer (special order).

Casing system PAROC FPS 14 (PAROC GROUP OY AB).
The system is dedicated for fire protection class R30, R60, R90, R120, R180
and R240.
The system PAROC FPS 14 is dedicated for fireproof protection
of steel construction inside the building with a cross-section mass factor U/a ≤
300-1. The rectangular casings are fixed tightly (box method).
The system consist plates made of mineral wool (nominal density 140kg/m3)
classified in class A1 as a non flammable product with a parching fibre
temperature over 750° C and mechanical assembling elements: spiral screws, steel
pins with self-tightening overlaps.

Casing System RIDURIT (RIGIPS
POLSKA Stawiany, Sp. z o.o.).
The system is dedicated for fire protection class R30, R60, R90, R120, R180
and R240.
The system RIDURIT is dedicated for fireproof protection of
steel construction inside the building with a cross-section mass factor U/a ≤
300-1. The rectangular casings are fixed tightly (box method).
System consist:
- plaster plates RIDURIT made by UK Company BPB GYPSUM Ltd.;
- zinc coated steel elements for RIDURIT plates fixing into the wall and
ceiling;
- screws and staplers for cover assembling;
- putty mass RIDURIT for tightening of the plate joints.

Casing system FIREBOARD (KNAUF
Sp. z o.o.).
The system is dedicated for fire protection class R30, R60, R90, R120, R180
and R240.
The system FIREBOARD is dedicated for fireproof protection of
steel construction inside the building with a cross-section mass factor U/a ≤
300-1. The rectangular casings are fixed tightly (box method).
System consist:
- plaster plates FIREBOARD made by KNAUF WEST- DEUTSCHE GIPSWERKE thickness:
15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm;
- zinc coated steel elements for plates fixing into the wall and ceiling;
- zinc coated steel profiles;
- zinc coated, steel fastening cramps;
- sheet metal fixing screws;
- steel, expanding screws;
- putty mass KNAUF FIREBOARD SPACHTEL for tightening of the plate joints.

Casing system PROMATECT (PROMAT TOP Sp. z o.o.).
The system is dedicated for fire protection class R30, R60, R90, R120.
The system PROMATECT is dedicated for fireproof protection of
steel construction inside the building with a cross-section mass factor U/a ≤
300-1.
System consists:
- fireproof silicate-concrete plates PROMATECT;
- fixing elements – staplers and screws.
